What are the Art Houses, you ask? Well, they are part of a fundraising project put on by the Ritter Center in an effort raise awareness on homelessness while simultaneously celebrating the culture of Marin County. 25 Local artists participated in creating these works of art, and each house is uniquely beautiful in displaying their message.

Volunteers had the opportunity to view these top-secret houses before the public did, and let me say I certainly felt very special to be part of such a covert operation. Volunteers were split up into groups and were then sent off to their designated house-placing locations (not before eating their fair share of free pizza, of course). They worked in teams to unload the houses and place them in the carefully marked spots... it was quite an effort! It was a fantastically fun project, and allowed many volunteers to connect with their fellow community members. On top of that, they are able to see their efforts every day they drive around Marin!
